Ameobi joins League One side Fleetwood Town
League One side relegation battlers Fleetwood Town have confirmed the signing of former Bolton Wanderers striker Shola Ameobi on a contract till the end of the season.
The 34-year-old former Nigeria international left Wanderers last month as they were unable to offer him a new deal due to their financial problems is available for Fleetwood's game at Port Vale on Saturday.
And his new coach Steven Pressle will be banking in his wealth of experience to avoid the drop. He said: .....
Stephen in debut defeat for RSL
One cap Super Eagles midfielder Sunday Stephen made his debut for Red Salt Lake lost 1-0 defeat to the Portland Timbers in the club’s first preseason match against at FC Tucson’s Kino Sports Complex.
A first-minute goal by Lucas Melano made the difference in the game that saw the 27 year old being replaced on the hour mark by Luke Mulholland.

Iheanacho ready for Spurs fight
Manchester City's forward Kelechi Iheanacho says its fight to the finish for his side against Tottenham when both teams go head-to-head on Super Sunday.
Iheanacho's City suffered a 3-1 home defeat to leaders Leicester City last weekend and are six points behind the Foxes, one behind Spurs who won the reverse fixture 4-1 at White Hart Lane.
The 19 year old is banking on the quality players in the squad to bounce back to winning ways.

Iwobi consoles Arsenal's U-19
Arsenal's Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi has sympthaized with the Gunners Under-19 side who were sent crashing out of the UEFA Youth League play-offs after being beaten by a clinical Anderlecht in Brussels.
Iwobi has made four appearances for the Gunners this term in the EPL however urged the Gunners Under-19 side not to dwell much on the defeat but to look forward to the next game.
Aguero Beats Iheanacho To POTM Award
Manchester City top scorer Sergio Aguero was voted Etihad Player of the Month for January ahead of Kelechi Iheanacho.
Iheanacho finished a respectable second with 50% of Sergio's vote and Bacary Sagna finished third according to a report on the Manchester City official website Tuesday morning.

Iheanacho battles Aguero, Sagna for POTM award
Kelechi Iheanacho will battle the duo of Sergio Aguero and Bacary Sagna for the Etihad Player
of the Month for January.
It's his first nomination for the award and the Nigerian international who was recently included in Manchester City's squad for the Champions League knockout rounds.
Iheanacho who has bagged four goals and provided three assists in just three starts in January has put himself in strong contention for the award after his superb hat-trick against Aston Villa.
He provided Aguero with an assist in the Citizen's 4-0 win over Palace before again helping create a goal for Kun in the 2-2 draw with West Ham.
Iheanacho also made a goal for Raheem Sterling. He has scored eight goals in 19 appearances for Manchester City who are still in contention for all four trophies this season

Emenike set for West Ham debut
West Ham new signing Emmanuel Emenike may play a part in the Hammers Premier League clash against Southampton at the St Mary’s Stadium, Slaven Bilic has revealed in his pre-match conference ahead of the game.
Bilic also confirmed the former Nigerian international has obtained his work permit on Wednesday.
He explained that he will take a decision about Emenike’s involvement at St Mary’s Stadium after watching him in training today, with the Nigerian international having arrived yesterday.

Echiejile Back In Training with Monaco

Ex Chelsea coach suffers suspected brain heamorrhage
Former Chelsea assistant manager José Morais has been hospitalised following a suspected brain heamorrhage.
Morais took charge of Antalyaspor last month, and was taken to hospital after feeling headaches during a training session this morning.
Club’s president Gültekin Gencer said: "The first diagnosis is of a brain heamorrhage. Passion and stress might have made his blood pressure rise. We are currently faced with a serious situation, but he is conscious.
José Morais was Mourinho’s assistant during his last spell at Chelsea. He also worked with The Special One at Real Madrid and Internazionale.
Cuper know his Starting XI For Nigeria game
Egypt national team coach Hector Cuper has stated that he already has in his mind the starting line-up for next month's 2017 African
Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria after his camp in Aswan.
Egypt played two friendlies in the Aswan camp last week,
losing the first game against Jordan 1-0 before beating Libya 2-0 in the second
game for their preparations against Nigeria.

coach Sunday Oliseh has disagreed over the choice of Ahmadu Bello Stadium,
Kaduna as venue for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt in
March.
In an email sent to the Nigerian Football Federation, the
former Eagles skipper preferred the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium in Port Harcourt
in Rivers State as the venue for the all important clash but............
