Oliseh rejects Kaduna pitch for Eagles,Egypt game

Ijaw boy can exclusively report today that Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has disagreed over the choice of Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna as venue for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt in March.

In an email sent to the Nigerian Football Federation, the former Eagles skipper preferred the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium in Port Harcourt in Rivers State as the venue for the all important clash but............

that has been quashed by the NFF.

This move may not be unconnected to the Supreme Court judgment upholding the People’s Democratic Party’s Nyesom Wike’s mandate as the governor of the State.

The Eagles host group leaders Egypt in a crucial game on the 23rd of March before traveling to Cairo, Egypt four days later for the reverse fixture as they hope to make their first African Cup of Nations appearance since 2013.

Egypt are currently leading Group G after winning their two games against Tanzania and Chad.

While Nigeria are second behind the Pharaohs in Group G’s qualifying zone with four points from two games, and they must defeat the North Africans in March to qualify automatically for the championship billed for Gabon.
