Ujah doubtful for Bayer Leverkusen clash


Werder Bremen forward Anthony Ujah is a major doubt for Tuesday’s DFB Cup tie against Bayer Leverkusen despite taken part in a an individual running session on Sunday Ijawboy has gathered.


Ujah was pulled off in the 57th minute in Bremen’s 5-1 shock loss to Borussia Monchengladbach last Friday took a heavy knock on his thigh and was unable to continue game.

The 25 year old Nigerian international however admitted after the defeat that his teammates made so many mistakes and were duly punished by the rampant Gladbach side.

"We made a lot of mistakes and lost the ball too often. We were punished for that. I know that we can do better. Our team has character and we will look ahead and we will try to right the ship," he told Werder Bremen's official website.


Ujah provided one assist and has scored 11 goals from 44 shots on targets in 23 appearances in Werder this season.
